Posted by After watching waaay too many cake art videos, I decided to bite the bullet and take a couple of cake decorating classes! I went to CV Tech at the Cowan campus, and had a great class and fantastic teacher, Sherri. There are four classes, but I took Cake Decorating Level 1 & 2. We made and learned a variety of cake designs, and how to level and fill/ice cakes. Here’s some of my finished cakes. Unicorn cakes, with rainbow icing and a flower basket with a checkerboard cake inside. Heimlich, the caterpillar cake was made for my brother’s birthday, he’s from A Bug’s Life! Do you recognize him? We watched A Bug’s Life outside, that’s why the pictures are so dark…any ways, hope you enjoy these, it was a fun hobby; but no joke, bakers and cake decorators are artists! The work is not easy or cheap. Very neat to learn!
