About

Hello, my name is Lizzie Lopez.  I am an Artist and an Illustrator.
I graduated from Oklahoma City Community College with a Visual Arts Associates. Then I gained my BFA from the University of Central Oklahoma, majoring in Studio Art, with an emphasis in Painting.I also obtained a minor in Illustration and Art History. After graduation I spent a year in Gunsan, South Korea, where I taught English as a Second to Korean students K-6th grade. It was a very challenging but rewarding experience.

I work in many medias, oil and acrylic paint, watercolor, colored pencil, paper, chalk pastel and whatever I can find! Color, repetition, and pattern are an integral part of my work as an artist. As well as symbolic meanings and influential stories from the bible. I am inspired by nature, red clay, leaves and rocks, and also cultural designs such as, Aztec, Inca (tribal), and Slavic patterns. For fun I enjoy learning about others cultures,  especially the language and native cuisines. Yum!

Now that I have shared a little about me, feel free to contact me with any questions or comments regarding my artwork. Or if you want to have Korean BBQ!
Whether it be about commission work, prices of art on this blog, or just to discuss a work of art!

Hope to hear from you soon!
Lizzie
